Brass Tacks accepts high quality gently used or new furniture and home décor that are in good or excellent condition. Furniture with universal appeal to the public is most desirable; however contemporary or unique pieces are also welcome. We do not accept any children’s furniture or toys.
Once your items are accepted the consignment period is for 90 days.
Small furniture and home décor may be brought into the store Thursday during normal store hours (10:00 - 5:30) or by appointment for review. Large furniture or large décor items require pre-approval prior to being brought to the store. Please send an email to or stop by the store with pictures before you attempt to bring your large items in. We will need to evaluate them for quality and make sure we have the floor space to properly display them.
All items must be CLEAN, odor free, and in good/great condition. Items missing parts, cracked or broken will not be accepted. We will not accept items from a smoking home or that show evidence of a pet environment. We reserve the right to refuse any item.
If you are unsure if your item is acceptable please call or email before bringing it in for review.
Brass Tacks reserves the right to determine the actual selling price of all items. Selling price will be determined by brand, age, condition, market demand, previous similar items that have been featured at Brass Tacks, comparable list price of item brand new and other appropriate factors.
Consignor will receive 50% of the selling price for all consignment pieces sold.
In effort to have more unique one-of-a-kind items in our store we offer a special consignment split for local artisans. If the item is hand crafted, painted, altered, or custom made by the consignor the consignor may be eligible to receive 60% of the selling price. Please contact the store for more details about the artisan consignment split.
All items must have a market value of at least $8
All consignment items will mark down 10% after each 30 day interval. Additional reductions may apply during a periodic store-wide sale or special.
