Artisan Vendor Opportunity
Brass Tacks is now offering the opportunity for artisans to rent indoor booth space.
Starting in June 2018, Brass Tacks will be opening up approximately 600 square feet of indoor rent-able artisan booth space. Each month we will bring in a variety of new and different vendors with unique products. Think Etsy, in real life right here in Sun Prairie, WI!

Facts About Booth Rental
Starting in May 2018, Brass Tacks will be open 2 weekends per month (Thursday - Sunday). Each month we will have an "event" weekend. We will have a variety of events scheduled such as live music, demonstrations, classes, food trucks and more. See our calendar for our open weekends and planned events.
We want to keep things fresh and new in store, so we are only offering 1 month booth rentals. Each month we will feature a variety of unique vendors that will have differing product lines. We want our vendors to do great so each month we will make sure that we don't have any repeating products. For example if you are a soap/bath artisan you will be the only soap/bath artisan featured during your month. Exceptions may be made if two vendors offer the same product line but have very different styles. No direct sales businesses allowed.
We have a variety of booth sizes available. You are able to request the booth size you would like as well as the top 3 months you would be interested in being a vendor. Keep in mind when picking your booth space size that you do not need to leave room for a check out station like a typical outdoor market. If you are unsure what to pick for your booth size think about your product and how you will display it. Are you a jewelry vendor and just need a single table set up (6'x3') or do you plan to bring bigger pieces of furniture and need more floor space (7'x7'). We will look over applications and pick the month that your product line and booth size will fit best into our floor plan. We will notify you within 2 weeks if your application has been approved.
If you are a seasonal/holiday based artisan please be sure to note that on your application.
Booth Set Up and Breakdown
Booth set up will be available 3 days before our first open weekend for the month you are scheduled. You will be in charge of your booth set up including displays and "walls" that you need to properly display your products. We will send you a sales report after our first weekend open and you will be able to restock your booth in between our weekends open.
You must have your booth taken down 3 days after our last open weekend for the month.
We will coordinate with each vendor scheduled time for booth set up, restock and take down. Please see calendar for allowed dates of set up and tear down.
Fees and Payment
Booth rental fee is $3.00 per square foot plus 10% commission on sales. Booth rental payments must be paid within 5 business days of being accepted. Once payment has been submitted there are no refunds as your floor space has been secured.
Brass Tacks will process all sales for your booth during your rental period. Brass Tacks will have your sales payout check ready for you by the 10th of the month after you are featured.
Sales Tax Requirements
Brass Tacks will add on, collect, and file all Wisconsin sales tax (5.5%) from booth sales.
Liability insurance policies are usually available through an existing homeowners or business insurance policy for a very low cost. It's encouraged that each vendor obtain a policy that provides coverage for their booth space. Brass Tacks Resale is not responsible for any damage or theft from your booth space. Please make sure you keep a safe clear aisle through your booth.
