About The Market
October 4th, 2020
9:00 - 3:00
Makers Market is an outdoor market featuring local vendors showcasing handcrafted goods, vintage finds, and lifestyle goods. We've handpicked a variety of artists, dreamers, and collectors and are gathering them all in one place for a unique shopping experience.
Makers Market Sun Prairie is held at Firemen's Angell Park, 315 Park Street, Sun Prairie, WI. We will be using the green space located at the north-east part of the park which includes a lush green space, plenty of on-site parking and just steps away from the Sun Prairie Dream Park. In this new location we are able to offer multiple booth options with or without shelter as well as on-site parking for vendors and customers. Due to COVID-19 we will not have live music or food vendors.
How To Apply
Please read all the market details below and fill out our online application to apply.
Facts About The Market
This is a juried show, set-up and display are very important. We will be visiting your social media sites to look through photos of your merchandising. If you have not sold at a show before or are just starting up please do not hesitate to apply. We love finding new talent that is just starting out. Not all applications will be accepted. (Absolutely no direct sales (MLM) businesses)
We accept vintage collectors, handmade artisan vendors, lifestyle good vendors, specialty boutiques, and local food vendors. We are seeking unique, current, and interesting items that our customers will be excited to shop. We limit the amount of vendors in each category so that our vendors do great and our customers have a good variety of vendors to shop. You may have a few "new mass produced" items in your booth but the majority of merchandise for sale must be handcrafted, vintage, or locally made.
Face masks are required for all Brass Tacks workers/volunteers, vendors, and customers.
All booths will be on the grass of the outer ring of the gravel drive and be spaced 10’ from each other. Unfortunately, with this layout we are unable to offer the sheltered booth options because of where the pavilion is located.
Booths will be 12’ for the front by 15’ deep. You will NOT be allowed to display beyond your booth marking so that we can keep walkways and empty space clear for social distancing. (double booths will be 24’ x 15’)
With this layout at Angell Park we will be able to host 65 vendors
We will have directional traffic flow for customers to follow (everyone moving counterclockwise on the gravel path)
We will be monitoring the crowd size at the front entrance gate to keep in line with the capacity guidelines set by Dane County Health Department for October 4th.
Additional hand sanitizer stations will be set up throughout the grounds.
We strongly encourage you to think about the layout of your booth set up to keep yourself and customers safe. We are NOT making any safety requirements on your set up.
Applications are open for both our Spring and Fall Markets. You may apply for one or both at this time. We have fully sheltered or open air booth spaces available. A tent is strongly encouraged for open air booth spaces but is not required. You must provide your own WHITE TENT. If you have a mobile truck or trailer for your booth set up you will need to apply for an open air booth space based on the size of your footprint. We will have a gravel area available for parking mobile trucks and trailers. All booths will be on flat ground so no worries about hills. It is a fairly open area and if it is windy you'll want to make sure your tent is weighted and staked down.
Vendors are expected to have their booths styled in a pleasing and inviting manor. We want you to have great sales and gain new fans! This is NOT a flea-market type event. All vendors are in charge of their own booths and must have at least one representative in your booth at all times. Unfortunately, we don't have the option for electricity for any of our booth spaces.

You will have 4 business days from the date of that email to remit your payment. If not paid by the due date your space may be offered to another applicant. All payments are non-refundable so please be sure you are able to attend before applying and submitting payment.

All vehicles must be removed from the market area and relocated to the vendor parking no later than 8:30 am on Sunday. All booths must be completely set up by 9:00 am.

Sales Tax Requirements

We will have volunteers that can help with large item pick-ups from your booth. These porters are volunteers and they are not responsible for any breakage or damage while transporting or loading goods if you choose to use them. We will have a convenient pick-up area for all shoppers to load these items into their vehicles.
One-day liability insurance policies are usually available through an existing homeowners or business insurance policy for a very low cost. It's encouraged that each vendor obtain a policy that provides coverage for their booth space. Brass Tacks Resale or City of Sun Prairie are not responsible for any damage and/or injury that takes place within your booth space. Please make sure you keep a safe clear aisle through your booth.
