Brass Tacks 2018 Big Changes

2017 was a CRAZY year for Brass Tacks. We started the year off by moving to a new location in February, Andrea welcomed a new addition to her family in June, Kendall sold her house in September, and we held our first ever Makers Market in October. All the change has been chaotic and hectic, but has led us to new and wonderful opportunities. We are excited to share some BIG changes coming to Brass Tacks in 2018.

After the amazing response we had to our first Makers Market and Merry Mini Market, the creative wheels started turning and we decided to bring more handcrafted artisan items in store. Due to the success of these events and handcrafted items in store, we will be changing up the structure of our store a bit in 2018.

We will use about half of our current retail space to house our Brass Tacks Signature Pieces and open up the other half of our space for monthly vendor space rental. Each month we will feature a variety of new and different vendors to showcase the local artisan talent in our area! Think Etsy in real life, right here in Sun Prairie.

We are beyond excited to pair our enthusiasm for creating unique furniture and home décor with a space to highlight all of the handcrafted talent Wisconsin has to offer! Brass Tacks will continue to offer our painted furniture, handcrafted wall and home décor, and custom painting and refinishing.

In order to make room for the new vendor spaces, we will no longer be accepting furniture and home décor on consignment. We cannot thank those of you who have supported our business by bringing your items in store for resale enough! It has meant everything to us. We believe we have a real opportunity to bring a new shopping experience to our community and believe this is the best move for Brass Tacks.

We will no longer be accepting secondhand items on consignment after December 28th, 2017. Our store will remain open normal hours with our "usual" inventory until March 31st, 2018. We will be closing down in April to do some remodeling and stocking up for our spring Makers Market on May 6th, 2018.
